Everyone knows Donald Trump is obsessed with Twitter. But Hillary Clinton, it turns out, is the real winner on the social media platform.

Two Clinton tweets were the most retweeted political messages in 2016, while The Donald was runner-up with one of his tweets being third most retweeted, according to Twitter data sent to Mashable.

Heartwarming messages, sharp one-liners, and cutesy birthday shout-outs were among the nine most retweeted political tweets of 2016. 

Like the political tweets, trending topics and hashtags also told the story of 2016 — a year that saw police brutality, a mass shooting targeting the LGBT community, unexpected international shifts like the Brexit vote and the unprecedented election of a reality star businessman as U.S. president.  Read more…

Throughout his campaign, supporters of Donald Trump loyally stood by his in-your-face bombast, from that very lewd Access Hollywood clip to the blunt insults he threw time and time again.

In their eyes, The Donald could do no wrong.

Now the “Trumpgrets” Tumblr is bringing to life those #MAGA voters who do have a critical thing or two to say about the President-elect. Some concerns regard equal pay, medicare funding, or the fact that Trump isn’t trying to put Hillary Clinton in jail, and even went so far as to call the Clintons “good people.”

Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein has dominated the news cycle over the past four days after igniting a country-wide effort challenging the results of the election. And yet she’s making news here again with a bizarre little Twitter rant against Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump that has Twitter users… puzzled.
