Tom Cruise brings his spy action chops to ‘The Mummy’ in new trailer

On Sunday, following up on the mini tease delivered last week, Universal Pictures released the full-length trailer for the latest Tom Cruise film event, The Mummy

If the earlier teaser left you with any doubts that this reboot of the ancient movie franchise was any good, Cruise does his best to dispel all fears. Although it’s a departure from his usual spy action and sci-fi fare, Cruise somehow manages to make his trademark high knee sprints, showing of bare chest and unlikely escapes from certain death work in this trailer for the supernatural thriller. 

That doesn’t mean the full film will deliver Cruise’s usual cinematic thrills, but as a trailer, it’s encouragingThe Mummy, which also stars Russell Crowe and Sofia Boutella, hits theaters on June 6, 2017.  Read more…

C-3PO just clutched his pearls.

A new trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story released late Friday night shows us more of the K-2SO droid that will apparently aid our heroes — and he’s definitely got a bit more bloodlust than his companions from the original trilogy.

Case in point: This moment where he immolates a number of Imperial stormtroopers…

He’s also kind of sassy. “I’ll be there for you — the captain said I had to,” he says in response to a rallying cry from the assassin Baze Malbus.

Charming!
