LOS ANGELES — It’s been nine years since Gilmore Girls’ seventh and final season came to an end — but that doesn’t mean the Gilmore girls haven’t kept up with their pop culture references.

Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, Netflix’s revival from creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and husband Dan Palladino, is chock-full of modern call outs from the fast-talking mother-daughter duo Lorelai and Rory.
